- Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The black and gloss gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is among the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations available. It uses lidar to navigate, create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and integrates with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set schedules and customize the S1's behaviour.
The S1 was capable of mapping my downstairs quickly, which has linoleum flooring in the dining area, kitchen, and bathrooms and a medium-pile and a large rug. It was able to drive close to walls without colliding with them, and was able to traverse raised room thresholds with no problem, although it sometimes had trouble navigating down the stairs in one move. The S1 also did a fantastic job of cleaning hard floors by dragging its mop effortlessly on its flat side against the floor and then lifting itself when it was near carpet or carpet.
The docking station of the S1 automatically empties its trash bin and fills its water tank on board with clean, ozonated water before every mopping session. The dock provides a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1's tank of water holds enough water for about a dozen cleaning sessions before it has to be emptied, though this will vary depending on how often you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires regular maintenance to ensure it is operating efficiently. To do this, you'll need to wash the water tank that is dirty regularly to prevent it from clogging. It is also necessary to clean your sensors and swivel wheel regularly to avoid them getting clogged up with dirt or dust. However, overall the S1 is easy to maintain, particularly compared to other combinations that require more care.
- Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robotic mop and vacuum from Ecovacs is a powerful option to meet your cleaning requirements. Its robot vacuum boasts 8,700Pa of suction and offers a number of innovative features, including full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning to avoid obstacles and cleans around furniture. Its mopping capability is remarkable, with mops rotating that actually lift and scrub the floor, instead of simply drag the pad across it. The mops can also be dried and cleaned at the base station, if needed.
This robot combination is simple to set up and use, and has a clear interface that walks you through the process. It includes a hand vacuum that recharges for those areas that the robot isn't able to reach and two water tanks that are automatically emptied and refilled when required. It also has a range of settings that can be used to fine tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does well at vacuuming, with a strong suction that easily picks up all kinds of debris, including the smaller bits of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation abilities are also pretty good, although it can get stuck on small area mats and rugs in my home (which you can reduce by creating virtual boundaries in the app). The mopping feature is pretty good as well, with two spinning mop pads that actually lift and scrub the floors, as opposed to just dragging the pad over it. The mops can also be cleaned with heated water, and dried in the basestation whenever needed. The mops can also be replenished at the top of the station when they are required.
- Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame launched the high-end X30 Ultra earlier this year however their latest flagship model of robot mop and vacuum has more impressive features. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and a larger side brush ensure a thorough, customized clean is accomplished.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, it can remove both large and fine debris. It is equally effective on hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned our test's most filthy areas well, and avoiding tangled pet hairs and other dirt. The sweeping capability of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush that automatically extends to reach hard-to-reach areas, and mop pads that run across baseboards.
Its navigation is smart it can navigate tight spaces and negotiating stairs without skipping a beat. It can move from one room to the next without having to change direction. This is a great feature for large homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance technology isn't as advanced than its competitors However, it tends to leave a thick distance around obstacles, which could result in missed spots.
The app is streamlined user interface that is designed to be user-friendly for both new and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleaning tasks. You can also alter the suction power, mop settings, and view 3-D and 2D maps. You can control it through the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. - Roomba Q5 pro
A robot vacuum does an excellent job of removing debris and dirt but it's not always able to be able to reach every piece of dust. It's important to vacuum often, at least once a week. This is particularly important for dust that builds up in corners, on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop designed specifically for this purpose. It's easy to connect it to your home Wi-Fi network, and works with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more practical addition to your routine of cleaning.
The Q5 is an edgier version of the company's pricier S-series models, including the flagship Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It is equipped with the same LIDAR mapping sensor, but cuts down on price by eliminating mopping functions and using a lower-cost plastic body.
Although it's no longer able to clean your floors, the Q5 offers the best vacuum and mopping performance we've seen from a robotic in this price range. It has powerful 5500Pa suction and an auto-empty system, so you don't have to empty the bin manually every time. It also comes with a smart app that lets you select your floor's type and schedule cleanings. It also has an automatic refill of the water tank and wash system for hands-free operation.
Its mops are also impressive with its 2700Pa power that can tackle dirt and pet hair on carpets and hard flooring. The Q5 was among the few robots we tested did not show problems with high-pile rugs and carpets. However, it was able to not handle kitty litter or cable tangles. This isn't surprising because it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle-avoidance features.
